Second Grade has been studying biographies recently. Students researched a famous person then wrote their biography. The unit of study culminated with the students writing a speech from the biography then transforming into that person for a living wax museum.

Assistant Principal Debbie Shepheard read to Ms. Farrell's Kindergarten recently. She read If You Give A Moose A Muffin by Laura Numeroff to the students.

All of our 3rd grade students went out to the greenhouse recently to work with retired Kitty Hawk teachers on various aspects of our science curriculum.  They each planted a seed and learned about the life cycle of a seed.  In addition, they planted seeds in sand, rocks and loam to compare which type of soil (or rock) the seeds would thrive in the most.
