Every year on October 1st, historic Roanoke Island — the site of America’s Oldest Mystery, the “Lost Colony” of Roanoke — transforms into Halloween Island, the spookiest seasonal destination on the mid-Atlantic coast. 🎃🕸️

Unlike seasonal tourist traps like Williamsburg & Orlando, there are no crazy entry fees. There are no inflated prices. There are no crazy jump-scare haunted houses to walk through. There are no parking fees. There are no two-hour queues to wait in. 👻

Instead, Halloween Island offers a unique seasonal experience that puts the “fun” in “fundraising” with a month-long, town-wide charity bar crawl of over a dozen uniquely themed pop-up Halloween bars throughout one small waterfront town spanning five full weekends of “trick-or-treating for adults” at the site of America’s Oldest Mystery.

And the best part? Proceeds from Halloween Island benefit the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, which provides financial relief for local families in times of dire need.

How to play? EASY! Surf over to halloweenisland.com and book your stay at any of the 13 Eerie Inns here in town. Pick up a Halloween Island passport at any of the Halloween bars for a $5 donation to the charity, and start crawling! Enjoy seasonally themed food & drinks from each of the bars as you collect passport stamps, and redeem your completed passport for exclusive rewards & prizes!
