TRiO Restaurant & Market is a vibrant dining and retail destination with an inviting, upscale-casual vibe that sets it apart from other places on the Outer Banks. The restaurant serves casual fare with local and international influences for lunch, brunch and dinner.  Choose from salads, handhelds, cheese and charcuterie boards, small plates and main entrees featuring fresh regional ingredients. A large selection of rotating craft brews awaits you at their copper-top bar. The extensive wine choices include more than 100 wines by the glass or bottle and a reserve list of some of the world’s most sought after wines. In the upstairs mezzanine you’ll find comfortable lounge and table seating with a tasting bar where you can enjoy weekly wine, beer and cheese tastings or host a private event. Outdoor seating is available on the front patio and in the backyard.

Downtown Manteo finally has a wine bar! It's a cozy, comfortable place with the slightly urban feel of a remodeled historic downtown building, in this case the restored Fearing building on Budleigh Street, just across from the old courthouse. It's a nice place for a date, pre-event drinks and bites, a lingering lunch with a friend or even late-night fun (yes, in Manteo being open until 10 p.m. is considered late). The wine list features several reds, whites, roses, a sparkling option and wine cocktails, and wine flights are available if you want to sample a few. The beverage list also includes beers, including several from Lost Colony Brewery around the corner, and nonalcoholic options. Expertly built cheese and charcuterie boards are the perfect accompaniment to your drink selections. NouVines opens at 11:30 daily and closes at 10 p.m. every day except Sunday, when they close at 6 p.m. Ask about events like tastings from specific wineries. Their retail section offers wine by the bottle, jams, chocolates, teas, wine bags, t-shirts and gift items. 

At Billy’s Seafood they stock plenty of fresh, local seafood, so pick some up to prepare your own feast at home tonight. They’re a great stop for local soft-shell crabs in season, and they also have convenience items, seasonings, beer and wine. The fresh, homemade tuna salad they sell here is some of the best you'll find anywhere; buy more than you think you'll need.
