Outer Banks Community Organizations

With over 4,000 soccer campers since 2007, Coastal Soccer School in the Outer Banks, NC continues to grow in popularity every year. Our soccer camps are a great place for young soccer enthusiasts who want to improve their soccer skills, make new friends, and have fun! All skill levels are welcome to attend. We offer outdoor training, indoor Futsal training, and your choice of either 1.5 or 3 hour camp duration sessions.

The 3-hour All Sports Camp was a huge hit last summer and we are going to offer it once again. Every hour we switch to a new sport. That’s 12 different sports over the course of the camp! Each day the kids will be informed about the following day activities in case they want to bring some of their own equipment.

Marcy Brenner and Lou Castro are the lead faces of Coyote, an Ocracoke-based band. Their cozy home venue, Coyote Music Den, features regular performances and cultivates a community friendly space. In fact you're invited to join Marcy and Lou before shows on the porch or in the lobby at the Coyote Music Den. Additionally, they also perform at events across the Outer Banks, including weddings, house concerts and other special occasions. The band has four albums, and their music has appeared in feature films, including Nights in Rodanthe, based on the Nicholas Sparks book. 

We're a seven-member governing body that manages the administrative responsibilities and policy in Dare County. Our tasks include adopting an annual budget, establishing the property tax, conducting public hearings and meetings, adopting ordinances, rules and regulations for general welfare of Dare citizens and setting policies, goals and objectives to direct community growth. We welcome citizen participation on advisory boards and committees as well as at our public comment platform held at the beginning of our monthly meetings.

Enriching the Outer Banks arts and cultural offerings since 2012, our nonprofit brings music, theater, literature, history and performances to locals and visitors of all ages. Former Nags Head mayor Don Bryan and his wife began organization to make the area a place where art and culture flourishes. Since our formation, we've worked alongside groups, such as the Dare County Arts Council and the Outer Banks Community Foundation, to bring nationally renowned performances and top-quality presentations to the beach and additionally facilitate artistic performances within the region. 

Our events range in category and style. We bring in Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and poets, Broadway actors, recognized historians, nationally touring musicians and dancers to share their talents with local audiences. On the home front, we partner with organizations and groups in the area to connect audiences with our established and budding artists on the Outer Banks. Every event is curated by an expert in its category, with funding coming from public supporters. By working together with the our local communities, we're able to keep our ticket prices low and accessible to all. 

At the Eastern Carolina Concert Society, we seek to provide local musicians and performers with the opportunities to showcase their talents. Singing, instrumental, solo or group performances – our organization welcomes all. By helping everyone find a way to share their musical abilities, our society aims to promote and foster the Outer Banks' music community.
