Mahi Mahi’s Island Grill started as a dream of building something amazing on the Outer Banks. Owners Andrew and Leslie Mikhail proudly operate a restaurant where customers can expect an affordable menu, quality ingredients and friendly service. Serving dinner nightly in season, the regular dinner menu and nightly specials menu have something for every palate with a focus on local seafood. Favorite Shareables include the sauteed mussels in a cream sauce, Cheesesteak Eggrolls, North Carolina Crab Dip, Loaded Nachos, Oysters Casino and Rare Tuna Appetizer. On the soups and salads side of the menu, the Award-Winning Mahi Mahi Chowder is a huge hit, as is the Southwestern Salad and Avocado Caprese. Main courses range from Jackfruit Tacos to the Award-Winning Shrimp and Grits to Fisherman's Seafood Stew to fried local seafood. Mahi Mahi's also serves sandwiches and burgers, tasty sides and a kids' menu. Homemade desserts, including Creme Brulee, Apple Crisp, Key Lime Pie, nightly chef's offierings and more, are a specialty here.
Specialty cocktails, canned, bottled and draft beer, seltzers and wines are available from the bar.
Reservations are not accepted, but if you have to wait for a table, Mahi Mahi's offers a fun and comfortable outdoor waiting area. Live music is offered in the front yard every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. Late-night DJs are also part of the fun here on weekends, and the kitchen stays open late so you don't have to dance on an empty stomach.
