The Inshore Slam Fishing Tournament is sponsored by the Manteo Rotary Club where you will compete for the largest fish in four categories; stripers, flounder, puppy drum, and speckle trout. There is also a single “Grand Slam” award for the individual who weighs in fish from at least three of the four categories, with the highest total weight.

The tournament is held the first weekend in October on the Manteo waterfront; docking available at the Maritime Museum. Early fall on the Outer Banks is locals favorite time to be here, plus the fish are usually running and the weather is still warm. Manteo holds it's First Friday celebrations on t his weekend as well.
Bring the Family
The tournament is a family friendly. We encourage everyone to share the fun and excitement of the tournament with your spouse, friends, family, and especially make it a point to “take a kid fishing”. Prizes and trophies will be awarded in adult, women’s and youth divisions.
Food, Beverages, & Entertainment
A silent auction is held with great prizes and gifts available. Saturday night there is an awards banquet for the whole family with live music and a pig pickin.
