Outer Banks Mexican Restaurants

Including Outer Banks Southwestern Restaurants

Our Latin American neighbors have brought their culinary traditions to the Outer Banks, adding to the variety and fun of eating out. Outer Banks Mexican and Southwestern restaurants flourish here and can be found in almost every town. They're very popular for their quick service, yummy food and reasonable prices. But there are also restaurants that feature specialties from other Latin American countries such as Guatemalan chicken, Belizean-style beans and rice, Salvadoran pupusas and Honduran fried fish with tajadas (fried green plantain). Additionally, influences from the Pacific Rim, Baja Peninsula and the Caribbean can also be found at our Outer Banks restaurants. With the addition of fresh seafood, the menus at the Mexican and Southwestern restaurants appeal to most anyone. Even if you don't frequent Latin-influenced restaurants, you should try out one of these because with their authentic preparations, you'll discover flavors you might never have had before. And, make sure you leave room for dessert because, they, too, are deliciously authentic -- from tres leches to house-made coconut flan to plantain empanadas with vanilla custard. Or try churros (apple-filled pastries drizzled with caramel icing). Who can resist? Most these Outer Banks Mexican and Southwestern restaurants have full bars, and many carry the beer brands you fell in love while vacationing.
