About Miss Oregon Inlet II
The Miss Oregon Inlet II is a Coast Guard certified sleek 65-footer, powered by twin 350 diesels and outfitted with top quality safety equipment and all the gear you need for a fish-filled day on the water. All guests are covered under our Blanket Fishing license. She has bench seating around the outside of the cabin and is fitted with rod holders along the port and starboard side to rest your rods in while grabbing a snack from the cooler you can slide under the bench. This provides easy access to drinks and snacks while lines are out.
The interior of the Miss Oregon Inlet II is comfortable and spacious. There are cushioned benches along the bow and two cushioned booths available to guests. A head is available near the stern. There is ample space for your special event or private party to enjoy a trip on the water.
Captain Ben Brown
Captain Ben Brown will be at the helm of the Miss Oregon Inlet II. Captain Ben holds a USCG 100-ton Master Captain license, has a FCC Radio license, and is CPR certified. He comes from a long line of local waterman. He grew up working the deck of his father's commercial long line boat F/V Jamie B docked in Wanchese and in no stranger to Oregon Inlet and it's constantly shifting shoals. Captain Ben's shad boat, the Miss Marsha, named after his grandmother was recently featured in National Fisherman Magazine as the shad boat is the state boat of North Carolina. The Miss Marsha was built in 1980 and Captain Ben skillfully restored her himself in 2020. He is an accomplished decoy carver. He won 1st place in Working Decoys and 2nd in Best in Geese and Swan Decoys at the IWCA 2024 Core Sound Decoy Festival held annually in Harkers Island, NC.
Captain/Mate Edward Lee Mann
Captain and Mate Edward Lee Mann is a native of Roanoke Island. He grew up on these waters hunting and fishing every day. After high school graduation, he joined the Coast Guard where he served for 25 years. He earned his sea legs and rank as Lieutenant. After retirement, he returned home to start back hunting and fishing every day. He began working on the Miss Oregon Inlet to watch people of all ages catch fish and just have a great time. You will only see him as Captain when Captain Jeffrey is not at the helm because Edward Lee enjoys telling his stories on deck to everyone! So be sure to ask for one or two when you see him!
First Mate Debbie Owens
First Mate Debbie Owens enjoys being on the water so much she choose to make a life working on it. Debbie holds a USCG 100-ton Master Captains license and serves as Miss Oregon Inlet II's relief Captain. Debbie is also CPR certified. She has worked in countless fields on the water, such as long lining, crabbing, and mating on sportfishing boats. Guests can rest easy knowing you are in well respected hands. She has one daughter, Morgann, who is the light of her life. Debbie is an accomplished equestrian and finds herself at the barn every evening to spend time with her horse, Gabriel.
