Spring break is finally here!  Hooray!  We have a whole lot more to celebrate, however, here at KHES....

First, our fiction diggers team won third place at the Battle of the Books contest held at Manteo High School.  Congratulations to those that participated!

 Mrs. Bryson, our librarian, is busy recruiting team members for next year so if your child loves to read, please keep this extra curricular activity in mind!  She is also recruiting volunteers for the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair.  Here is the link to the signup sheet.T

The Kitty Hawk Players, after school chorus and drama club, presented the musical, Tom Sawyer this past week.  All I can say is WOW!  The acting, singing, choreography, staging and direction were fantastic!

New EOG dates are Fifth Grade Science on May 21, with Grades 3,4,5 Reading on May 27 and Math on May 28.
