Last Week:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring break!

We had some beautiful days and some not so beautiful days in there weather wise but I am sure everyone made the most of them anyway.

We have officially started the last nine weeks of this school year so get ready because this is always a busy time of year at KHES.

There will be no winding down the school year at KHES.  Instead, we are cranking it up, and finishing by SOARing to new heights.

This Week:

On April 14th, report cards will be sent home.

Please review the report card, discuss it with your child, sign the envelope and return it to your child's teacher.

This is a great time to talk to your child about the progress being made in each subject and to set goals for the end of the year.  It is also a great time to schedule a conference with his/her teacher.  We strive for open lines of communication between home and school and believe that these lines of communication are vital for the success of each student here at KHES.

Mark Your Calendar:

The NC Symphony will be at our school on April 20th.  Shows will be at 9:10 a.m. for K-2 and 9:50 a.m. for 3-5.

The next Dare County Board of Education meeting will be held on April 21st at First Flight Elementary School.  The meeting will begin at 5pm.

Individual Spring student pictures will be taken on April 24th.

Our annual blood drive will be held on April 30th from 1pm to 6pm.

Until next time....
