Closing Early -- Due to the forecast of severe weather later today, the Pier will close to the public today at 2 p.m. We plan to resume our regular hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10. Stay safe!

Park Avenue -- Cold again with a few bird watchers and one angler. No catches to report. Air temp 40 degrees; water temp 53. Low tide at 8:08 a.m. High tide 1:45 p.m. Winds N at 10 knots. We've installed half of our 70 new benches!

Frosty Morn -- A few surfers out catching some clean waves but no one fishing yet. Light offshore wind from the SW at 4 knots. Air temp 43 degrees; water temp 53. Low tide 6:09 a.m. High tide noon. There was light frost on sand dunes, pier decks and other shady spots this morning.
