Captain Jimmy
Born and raised in Buxton, Captain Jimmy started fishing as a young boy with his grandfather out on his skiff. As he got older, he was mentored by local fishermen on how to surf fish for Red Drum at Cape Point and search for Speckled Trout in the Pamlico Sound. Now, he fishes the Pamlico Sound on Topwater lures and light tackle, hunting for the same fish he has been going for since his youth.
The Boat
The Boat is the most relied on piece for your inshore fishing in the Pamilco Sound. She is a 1999 21ft Carolina Skiff with a Custom Sightfishing Tower/Control Center. This tower adds improvement in locating the fish nearby. She is also powered by a 2021 Suzuki 115HP 4 Stroke Engine to help us quickly get you to and from the fishing grounds. This way, you will spend the majority of your trip fishing with the St. Croix Rods and Diawa Reels that we have set up for the day.
