Hatteras Community Sailing Organization was founded in 2020 and has since grown to be one of the most effective Sailing and Boating education programs on the Outer Banks. Programs are offered for all ages, but with an emphasis on youth programs. Hatteras Sailing is located at its Sailing Center in Buxton. We feature dinghy sailing, performance grand prix sailing on our melges 24, big boat sailing on the Sabre 42 and Multihull Sailing on our Stiletto 27's, Hobie 16 and Hobie 18. The Organization is a US SAILING Acreditted Community Sailing Program and has a perfect safety record since it started in 2020. Also offered are group events, maritime sailing and boating educational clinics, navigation clinics and orientations and a wonderful new membership program that rental property owners can offer their vacation guests.
