The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau is a marketing and promotion agency for the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Funded by one percent of the Dare County occupancy tax and one percent of the prepared meals tax, the Bureau works to promote responsible tourism and support the local economy. We believe travel to the OBX creates meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange, economic growth, and stronger communities. We are committed to promoting tourism in a fair and equitable way that invites visitation to the barrier islands by all, and reaches potential visitors inclusive and without exclusion to race, gender identity, physical ability, religion and beliefs.
