Island Bookstore is a full-service independent general bookstore with locations in Corolla, Duck and Kitty Hawk, NC. We offer books on every subject imaginable, from local interest to classic poetry and beyond. Our Kitty Hawk location features a vast selection of magazines as well.
When you browse through one of our stores you'll find unique gifts like up-cycled cloth gift bags, handmade leather journals, novel tote bags, hand-painted cards and a variety of jigsaw puzzles for kids and adults alike.
Speaking of kids, we boast a dense selection of children's books that are well-curated and much-loved by our customers. Take this as a warning! If you let your children loose in there and you may not see them for hours!
We host a series of Author Signings in the summer at our Corolla and Duck stores featuring authors who write across all genres, including mystery, fiction, children’s picture books, non-fiction, cooking and local history.
