Country Deli Outer Banks in Kill Devil Hills

Right now, as you read this, there are delicious sandwiches being carefully layered together all over the Outer Banks. They’re everywhere you turn — there’s no disputing it. If all you want is a tasty sandwich, you’re likely currently within walking distance of one. But this, too, is indisputable: If you ask a local for his or her best sandwich shop recommendation, you’ll hear “Country Deli” every time.

At Country Deli in Kill Devil Hills, we have yet to fail at satisfying a sandwich craving — and that’s the way we plan to keep it. We’ve been supplying the Outer Banks with overstuffed sandwiches since our debut in 1990, but our hefty portions aren't the only reason for our local fame.

Choose from our long list of authentic recipes. If your hunger level is at its max, we might suggest our famous pounder, the meat-filled “Manhandler.” Or try one of our triple-deckers. A local favorite, the “Raleighwood” is a mouth-watering sandwich sandwiched between mouth-watering sandwiches. Not quite that hungry? The “Jennabelle” is yet another one we’re proud to have created. It’s big, but not too big, and with a crisp layer of Granny Smith apple slices, it’s just the right amount of sweet.

Crafting colossal sandwiches isn’t what we do, it’s what we’ve done, with zeal, for nearly 30 years. Country Deli has become an Outer Banks institution — and we’ve only just begun! Our brand new location just south of milepost 9.5 on the bypass is bigger and better than our original shop. We now boast a more spacious interior complete with ample indoor and outdoor seating for those of you looking to dine-in.

Outer Banks Fishing Trip Catering

As Outer Banks natives we know the fishing industry is at the heart of our local economy. From charter trip captains to commercial fishing crews, our community is full of folks who spend their days on the water. Turns out it's tough to eat well out there, so we've developed a program we think will help. Whether being boat-bound is your day job or your vacation pastime, spare yourself the hard work of packing lunch (and the disappointment of discovering it soggy).
