It has been another busy week at MMS. Students and staff hosted the community at the "Empty Bowls" dinner on Thursday. The dinner and the silent auction was a great success, a BIG thank you to all you attended/donated/helped.
Mrs. H. Magee shared a new approach to scale drawing using post it notes. The students loved the hands on in math.
Mr Folks continues to plan and organize public service announcements with Ms. Houseknecht in the media center. We have some amazing videos to look forward to.
Ms. Hodges had Sara Hallas speak to all 8th grade science classes linking the things they are learning to the area in which we live.
Ms. Simmons along with Ms. White from Manteo High School shared information about high school registration for next year. (The 8th grade students will be getting more information through Social Studies classes in the next few weeks.
Odyssey of the Mind competed on March 7th with both teams placing second in their division. Both teams have received invitations to participate at the state level competition.
