Special Olympics
Manteo Middle School students Quadereia White, Diamond Hanson and Zarreia Liverman participated in the Special Olympics last weekend. The students have been training with Mrs Witter and did an outstanding job in their events.
End of baseball softball
Manteo Middle School softball and baseball teams ended their regular season this week. The baseball team and the softball teams both ended with a 2 wins and 5 losses which placed them in 6th. Both teams will play in the tournament which starts on May 6th and will end on May 9th with the semi finals and finals being played at River Road. Baseball will play on May 6th at Perquimans and softball will be playing at First Flight Middle School.
Cheerleading
Mrs Magee and Mrs Whitaker met with students interested in cheering for Manteo Middle School next fall. Cheerleaders who are selected for the team will begin conditioning and training this summer. Try outs will take place on May 18 to May 20 right after school.
