Students spent most of this week taking the 3rd quarter benchmarks. These county wide tests are designed to help students, teachers and parents where the students' strengths and weaknesses are so that more meaningful instruction can be planned. The tests went very smoothly. Please be on the look out for tutoring opportunities that will be offered.
The 8th grade CSI club extracted DNA when they meant this week. The group lead by Mrs. Luciano were very surprised when they were able to see the strand of DNA emerge from the solution.
Several classes from Manteo Middle School went to Manteo High School on Friday to see SHREK. The play was amazing, one of the best yet. We would encourage everyone to take time this weekend to go to Manteo High to see this outstanding show.
