Outer Banks restaurants are known for their excellent dinner menus, but for folks who consider breakfast the most important meal of the day, you'll be quite satisfied with the options here. Many of the breakfast spots we include in this section are restaurants that also serve lunch and dinner. But the Outer Banks also has some great breakfast-only restaurants. Of course, being the Outer Banks where seafood is king, you'll enjoy some distinctly local dishes you might never have had before such as Benedict with crab cakes or seafood crepes. Yum! But rest assured you'll also find all your morning favorites that start your day off in just the right way. Several Outer Banks restaurants offer a special brunch on weekends, and a few will serve you pancakes, bacon and eggs for supper if you want! We also have a plethora of coffee houses where you can order java in every imaginable concoction made from freshly roasted beans along with Danishes and bagels. Some of these places also have a decent wine selection – but what that has to do with breakfast, we shudder to think! Since the Outer Banks sees a lot of fisher folk who are up before the sun, many of these breakfast spots are open very early to accommodate them.
