Fri - Yay! Winds are West at 18 knots. The sea is flat and glassy. Air temp 50 degrees, ocean temp 47 degrees. High tide 7:18 a.m. Low tide 1:38 p.m. Plenty of bottlenose dolphin have been around this week and at least one humpback whale swam by too!

Dolphin and Whales -- A large pod of dolphins was around this morning and this young humpback swam past the end of pier yesterday. Soft Tops -- Robert Farmer, owner of Farmdog Beach Services in Nags Head, donated a truck load of soft-top surfboards to the Pier's education department who teaches surfing during camp all summer long. Flashing grins from left are instructors Dustin, Kaya and Flannery.

Beautiful day with sunny weather and blue skies. We have three anglers giving it a go. Yesterday, Lynn said folks were catching DOGFISH. Winds NE at 4 knots.
