Fishing Slow -- The ocean is glassy and cold. So far, small SEA MULLET. Ocean temp 66 degrees. Winds W at 4 knots. A competitor in last week's skim contest shreds an incoming wave. Jennette's Pier hosts the OBX WRV Pro surf contest later this month.

A mix of blue skies and white clouds. so far, PIGFISH. Water temp a chilly 65 degrees. Low tide 10:37 a.m. High tide 5:19 p.m. Ghost crabs live on the beach around the pier.

Overcast but this photo is not from today! So far, CROAKER and SPANISH MACKEREL. Water temp 70 degrees. Winds SE at 8 knots. Small surf. Low tide 3:37 a.m. and 11:04 p.m. High tide 4:19 p.m. This image of a storm approaching was taken by Aaron Robertson earlier this month.

Holy Mackerel -- Archie Sawyer of Camden County reeled in this 44.4-pound KING MACKEREL while pin rig fishing with a live BLUEFISH this morning. Surf's Up -- Great start to the morning -- small BLUEFISH, CROAKER, TROUT, POMPANO and SPANISH MACKEREL. Wind SW at 16 knots. Water temp 75 degrees. Low tides 8:36 a.m. and 10 p.m. High tide 3:15 p.m. Caden Bromhead of Knoxville, Tenn. with a nice SEA MULLET caught last week.
