May Day -- Anglers are catching BLUEFISH. A sunny May Day. SW winds at 12 knots and the sea temperature is 58 degrees. High tides 11:03 a.m. and 11:27 p.m. Low tide 5:06 p.m. Several students from Burns Middle School enjoyed bottom fishing during an educational program yesterday afternoon.

Bluefish Bite -- Hundreds of birds flyover top of schools of bluefish this morning on south side of the pier.

Several BLUES and at least one SPANISH landed early today. There are reports of a run of SPANISH late yesterday too. Ocean water temp 57 degrees. There's a gentle breeze of 7 knots from the SE. High tides 9:14 a.m. and 9:36 p.m. Low tide 3:14 p.m.

Moderate Breeze -- So far, BLUEFISH! NE winds at 11 knots are rolling in. Small, crumbling surf. High tides 8:22 a.m. and 8:44 p.m. Low tide 2:25 p.m. We switch to our summer season hours of operation, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., beginning this Saturday, May 3.
