Waterfowl Hunting in Cape Hatteras National Seashore

Hunting is allowed in Cape Hatteras National Seashore in restricted areas of Bodie Island (on the west side of N.C. Highway 12 opposite South Nags Head). You must have on your person a valid N.C. hunting license with an N.C. waterfowl privilege, a Federal Harvest Program certification and a Federal Duck Stamp. During waterfowl hunting season, hunters must register at the Whalebone Junction Information Station in Nags Head at 4:30 a.m. to be assigned a hunt area during the 5 a.m. daily draw.
