Coastal Kayak Touring Company

You haven’t seen the Outer Banks until you’ve seen it from the water, and Coastal Kayak can take you there. They offer guided kayak tours from Pine Island to Pea Island including Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. Along with the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forest tour in Kitty Hawk, they also offer a tour from the Dock of the Bay Marina out to the Kitty Hawk Bay and the marshes known as Long Point. Tours last two to three hours. The guides offer kayaking instruction if you need it, plus they narrate about the local history and ecology along the way. Single and tandem kayaks are available. Children are welcome as long they weigh at least 30 pounds, but certain trips are better for kids than others. Reservations are required.
