On the northern end of Avon next to OceanAir Sports, Po House is a casual waterfront restaurant with great views of the soundside activities and those amazing Pamlico Sound sunsets. Their creative cuisine incorporates a lot of local seafood; be sure to try their tasty seafood bisque, crab cakes, oyster po'boy, fish and chips, and daily specials made with the freshest catches. If you're not in the mood for seafood, go for hummus, salads, apps, wraps, burgers or sandwiches. The kitchen crew makes just about everything in house, and the portions are large, perfect for those who are just coming off a day on the water or beach. They serve lunch and dinner every day but Sunday in the summer and offer full bar service. Outdoor dining is available.
