The NC VIP Fishing Tournament is the biggest in the world. After all, it attracts not just visually impaired persons from across the state of North Carolina but also from all corners of the North American continent. With participants coming from the region to as far away as Canada, this tournament offers an incomparable three-day experience of Outer Banks life, which of course includes fishing. Attendees enjoy fishing on the Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Jennette’s Fishing Piers in addition to head boats trips into the open waters. This annual event is more than a fishing tournament; it also gives participants an opportunity to experience local attractions, restaurants, shops and interact with the community. The tournament is sponsored by the Lions Clubs of First Flight, Manteo, Nags Head, Wanchese, lower Currituck and Columbia.
