Celebrate waterfowl's intrinsic role within the local culture and time-honored traditions on Hatteras Island and beyond. This winter event draws birders, artisans, ornithologists and anyone with a general interest in the area’s feathered figures to Hatteras Village for a weekend of birding demos, nature tours, arts-and-crafts displays and vendors, good food and drink and even better company. The Fin, Feather and Bourbon social kicks off the weekend with a dinner, whiskey sampling and art auction. Saturday brings a series of art shows, crafters' demonstrations, birdwatching walks, photography tours, birding cruises and more to Hatteras Village. Sunday morning, bird enthusiasts send each other off for the year with goodbyes exchanged over brunch. There are different levels of ticketholders for this event: General admission tickets start at $5, and VIP members pay $50. Hatteras Village hosts this annual event in February.
