The Town of Duck has a fabulous boardwalk stretching about a mile on the Currituck Sound. You can't see it from the main road, so you might not know it's there. This wooden walkway links the 11-acre Duck Town Park with restaurants and shops, passing over the water and along marsh and forest landscapes along the way. It's a top sunset-viewing venue in town and a great place for admiring wildlife, especially herons, egrets and osprey. Public boat slips are available on the north and south ends, and a kayak launch and crabbing/fishing platform are available in the park area. The boardwalk stretches from Aqua Restaurant north to the Waterfront Shops.
