Locally referred to as the Evans Family Homeplace, The Manteo House and its detached apartment provided 6,000 square feet of interior space including seven bedrooms, a spacious gourmet kitchen, a den, a parlor, a formal dining room, a breakfast nook, a second-floor lounge and four covered porches, one of which is screened. The house boasts a unique blend of original 1871 elements such as wooden flooring, doors, window frames and transoms complemented by custom Honduran mahogany in its extended wings.
