Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar is the Outer Banks’ newest dining scene. This restaurant is sister to another Outer Banks favorite, Blue Moon Beach Grill, located in the Nags Head. Blue Water Grill is a family-owned restaurant in Pirates Cove, giving it a prime location with fantastic views of the Albemarle Sound. Their menu is interestingly varied and changes somewhat seasonally, and they also offer an extensive drink menu. Try their Watermelon and Feta Salad, Shrimp & Grits, the Blue Water Paella or tasty selections from their raw bar. The staff is friendly, and you’ll be happy with their service and care. Blue Water also offers Mimi’s Tiki Hut, located on the deck of the Pirates Cove Marina right below the restaurant, to customers waiting for a table or who just want to watch the fishing boats come in from a long day. You can have a drink or grab an appetizer there, such as the house-made tater tots or the local favorite, The Classy Redneck, which is a smoked pork shoulder topped with blue cheese coleslaw on an Artisan Roll. Being such a new restaurant to the Outer Banks, you will find that the dining room and bar area are outfitted with a modern swagger that will keep you coming back.
