The White Doe Inn is a bed and breakfast in one of Manteo’s most picturesque historic homes. It occupies the Theodore Meekins house, which was partially built in 1898, finished in 1910 and is on the National Historic Register. The Queen Anne-style house, complete with turret, was renovated in keeping with its style and became The White Doe Inn in 1994. The inn offers eight elegant bedchambers, some with balconies. Comforts include gas fireplaces, king- and queen-size beds, deluxe bathrobes and private baths (some with whirlpool tubs). A full, four-course breakfast is offered each morning, and tea, coffee and desserts are available in the afternoon. The inn is just a few blocks from the Manteo waterfront. This is a great place to hold a wedding and reception. Children 12 and older are welcome. The White Doe offers many services to enhance your stay, such as spa services including Swedish and hot stone massage offered in the comfort and privacy of your own room. The White Doe Inn is a member of the Select Registry of Distinguished Inns of North America.
