Oracle's Joe Diemer Visits CHSS 

CHSS Middle School and High School students had the opportunity to "seize their future" Thursday at CHSS.  Mr. Joe Diemer, Enterprise Manager with Oracle Corporation, razzled and dazzled our students with his vivid explanation of the "Cloud" and his heartfelt advice for moving forward with their future. 
His big three hints for a successful future included:
1.  Learn to communicate well with all kinds of different people and make the most of your English classes.
2.  Love what you do!
3.  Gain experience.
He also shared the Oracle story and its impact on local businesses as well.
 
 
 

Homecoming Ceremonies Moved to October 30th

Due to all the flooding this past week, Mattamuskeet has not been able to attend school and will not be able to play the game on Friday, October 9th.  The game is being rescheduled for this Saturday, October 10th at 7 pm, weather permitting.  All homecoming festivities will be moved to the October 30th game vs Norfolk Christian Academy.  
 
 
 

CHSS Celebrates Mr. William Stowe's 80th Birthday

 
On Friday, October 9th CHSS students and staff celebrated Mr. William Stowe's 80th birthday.  The students and staff filled the lobby as Mr. William came into the school doors.  He was welcomed with a banner, hugs, hand shakes, cheers, and the band playing "happy birthday".  CHSS is privledged to have Mr. William Stowe.  He is a great example to us all with his hard work ethic, positive influence, and smile.
 
 
 

 



College Fair at First Flight High School 

CHSS High School students have the opportunity to travel to First Flight High School on Sunday, October 18th.  Over 20 college recruiters will be there to discuss requirements, opportunities, and programs their schools offer.  Students interested in attending need to stop by Mrs. Karla Jarvis's office to sign up.  A bus will leave CHSS and take any students that needs transportation.

CHSS parents have the opportunity to receive a free Smile Safe ID card for their children by visiting the following site, Smile Safe Sign Up.  After you create you account, visit the My Life Touch Page,  your child's proof pictures should have a  "Portrait ID and Access Code" that is in the packet. Sports Pictures and Picture Retakes

If you would like to have picture retakes or you missed to have your picture taken early this year, please have your picture taken on Wednesday afternoon, October 14th.
