6th Grade Celebrates with Italian Feast

Mrs. Lovie Heilig's Language Arts students recently read The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke.  In connection with the novel's setting of Venice, Italy, students designed Venetian carnival masks, shared Italian foods, and showcased multimedia projects.  The projects consisted of posters, minecraft scenes, videos, and slide shows.  Parents were invited to come and enjoy the show.  Thank you to all who came and participated.

Powder Puff Football

Last Friday night the lights were on at the Hurricane Football Field.  Only there were ladies calling plays and running for touchdowns.  The Seniors and Sophomores ladies teamed up to take on the Juniors and Freshmen ladies.  Some of the Hurricane football players served as the team's cheerleaders.  The marching band also came out to perform some great tunes and get the crowd involved.  Thank you Mrs. Ashlee Garcia and Project Purple for sponsoring this event.
