Cape Hatteras Secondary School, This Week at Cape Hatteras Secondary School June 3rd Edition

Students Visit Fort Bragg

CHSS students Alex Peele, Brandon Telles, and Jack Quidley visited Ft. Bragg for the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Divisions Open House / Airborne Review.  While there, they got to see and get a hands on experience with everything from helicopters, unmanned drones and different weapon systems. Additionally they got to speak with military personnel in different job fields and witnessed a combo air/ground assault featuring air strikes, 1500 parachutists, a display of heavy artillery, followed by ground forces taking on an enemy target. Students were also able to see some aspects of off duty life, including a visit to the barracks and places where personnel shop, eat, and play.
