Middle School Students Receive Chromebooks
This past week CHSS Middle School Students received their new Dell Chromebooks. These devices will help students in the classroom prepare and stay on top of all course material. Each CHSS student has the opportunity to have one to take home for the rest of the school year and bring back each day. Teachers are requiring students to have a Chromebook for the 2nd semester or bring their own laptop from home to use in the classroom. As more and more material moves from textbooks to online, it is essential for our students to have this type of access to locate information online. If your child has not signed up to receive a Chromebook yet, it is not to late. Please bring in the signed Dare County Laptop Agreement Form along with $12.50 when school returns on January 20th.
American Red Cross Blood Drive at CHSS
On January 27th, The Red Cross will be at CHSS in the auxillary gym from 10-4 to take blood donations. Please come out and help save a life by donating. You can sign up online at redcrossblood.org - use Sponsor Code CHSS when signing up.
CHSS's Got Talent
Wednesday, January 27th at 6:30 pm in the CHSS Auditorium, the Senior class is sponsoring CHSS Got Talent. Students are encouraged to show off their talents: signing, dancing, musical instruments, video production, art, etc..... Sign up in Mrs. Polk's class to participate. All are invited to come out and to show your support.
CHSS Alumni Graduates USCG Boot Camp
Congratulations 2014 CHSS Graduate, Kristen Mugford graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Boot Camp on January 8th. Her duty assignment will be in Chincoteague, VA. We are proud of you Kristen and THANK YOU for your service.
Scholastic Book Orders
Students or parents that would like to order books from Scholastic, orders are due by January 28th. You can pick up an order form from the Media Center or visit Scholastic Online using code KYBBD. You will need to create an online account if you do not have one. Each order earns free books for the school.
