In observance of the 4th of July holiday, Town of Duck Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Offices will reopen at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 5. Please remember that all fireworks and sparklers are illegal in Duck! Have a safe and healthy holiday! Be sure to stay hydrated and be mindful of the excessive heat.

LIVE boardwalk cam is installed! Can't wait until your next visit to Duck to take in your favorite view? Trust us- we completely understand! Which is why we are excited to tell you that you can now escape to the soundside boardwalk any time you want, thanks to the new LIVE boardwalk cam! The nearly- mile long boardwalk traverses along the Currituck sound and serves as a vibrant hub of activity, where visitors and locals come to soak up the sunshine, breathe in the fresh air, explore nature, wildlife, and the maritime forest, and experience all that Duck has to offer. The live camera brings the beauty of Duck directly to you. Whether you're a longtime visitor planning your next getaway or simply curious about the Outer Banks charm, this camera offers a window into the sights and sounds of the boardwalk!

The next show in the Town of Duck Rotating Art Show, "OBX Women in the Wild" North Carolina Wildlife Photography, will be on display February 2-April 24 Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room of the Town hall. This exhibit will feature photographers Joyce Edwards, Jacqueline Orsulak, Cyndi Goetcheus Sarfan, and Eve Turek.

A free opening reception will take place on Saturday, February 3 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the same room. Come meet the artists and talk with them about their work.

Santa is coming to Town! Save the Date! The 13th Annual Duck Yuletide Celebration is right around the corner! Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 2, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Town park. We will have live music, games, crafts, tasty treats, the lighting of the crab pot tree and a visit from the big guy himself: Santa! Enjoy some great restaurants and shopping in Town before and after the event. There is something for everyone on your list here in Duck!
