Our property, "Shades of Blue" had an unexpected guest – honey bees! 🐝
We politely provided long-term housing with the help of local beekeeper Ann Baker. Our maintenance tech Christine Ackermann joined in the fun of helping to find the Queen.

Wow! What a difference one year can make... these photos were taken July 2023 and July 2024. It'll be a lot of restoration work for the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse for the next year+ but we can't wait to see how it turns out!
